# Default template

The *default template* is a set of configuration files that are used by default for all projects.

To customize PageSeeder, you can provide your own configuration in the [global template](global_template.md), which also applies to all the [groups](group.md) but overrides the default template. 

To customize a single project and the groups under it, use a [project template](project_template.md).
